Accessibility

Sorrel is built for students who find most software exhausting. Accessibility isn't a settings panel here — it's the reason the product exists.

What's built in

• Read-aloud on cards, notes and documents, with the words highlighted as they're spoken.
• Every screen fully keyboard operable, with a visible focus outline.
• Motion off by default; the system's reduce-motion setting is always honoured.
• Text scales to 200% without anything breaking, and zoom is never disabled.
• Dyslexia-friendly typeface, adjustable text size, dark and light themes — no pure white or pure black.
• Colour is never the only signal: every colour is paired with an icon or a label.
• No timers, no streaks, no counts of things left undone.
• Everything resumes exactly where it was interrupted.

Standard

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Automated accessibility checks run on every change and block release on failure; screen-reader passes are done by hand before each phase ships.
